All chapter and verse citations are from the New American Bible (NAB). The texts quoted are also from the NAB, but more than one edition of the NAB is currently in circulation. That tends to create some confusion. Living Faith uses the NAB's 1970 Old Testament translation, including the Psalms, and the 1986 New Testament translation. This is generally the same text as used in the Mass lectionary, but there are some exceptions.

Most likely it's because you are using some edition of the Bible other than the New American Bible (NAB). All citations used in Living Faith are from the NAB. The NAB is a Catholic Bible that includes 7 more Old Testament books than the Protestant Bible (Baruch, Sirach, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, Tobit and Wisdom), as well as some additional passages in other biblical books that aren't in Protestant editions. Variations also exist in the numbering of some of the verses, particularly in the Psalms and the Book of Daniel.

Living Faith lists solemnities, feast days and some saints according to the observance of the Church Year (including some lesser-known saints whose days are rated “optional” in the liturgical calendar). Naming a saint for every date would leave the impression that the day's reflection is intended to be primarily about a saint. That is not the case. Rather, the themes and insights for our daily reflection are keyed to a lectionary Scripture quote selected by the writers.

“Imprimatur” is Latin for “let it be printed.” When conferred through the bishop of a diocese, it means that the publication is free of any doctrinal or moral error. Living Faith seeks an imprimatur in order to be in harmony with the teaching of the Catholic Church.
